of our website.

Â
1. What this policy covers
Â
Cookies are small files stored on your device by websites you visit. This policy also covers similar technologies: tracking pixels, scripts, and local storage. It explains what runs on this site, when, and how you stay in control. It should be read together with our privacy policy.
Â
Â
2. How consent works on this site
Â
When you first visit, a banner offers three equal choices: Accept All, Preferences, and Reject. Nothing non-essential runs until you choose. Preferences lets you allow categories individually. Your choice is remembered for 30 days, and you can change or withdraw it at any time using the cookie settings button that stays in the corner of every page.
Â
If you reject, essential cookies still run, because the site cannot function without them. Everything else stays off.
Â
Â
3. The cookies we use
Â
We group cookies into three categories:
Â
Essential. Needed for the site to work, including remembering your cookie choice itself. These run always.
Â
Statistics. Help us understand how the site is used. Google Analytics measures visits and pages. Microsoft Clarity shows us anonymised interaction patterns, such as heatmaps and session replays, so we can improve the site. These run only if you allow statistics cookies. Where you have not consented, Google may receive cookieless, anonymous signals that cannot identify you (Google Consent Mode).
Â
Marketing. Used to measure our advertising. The Meta pixel tells us when a visit or enquiry came from one of our ads. These run only if you allow marketing cookies.
Â
The full, automatically updated list of every cookie, its purpose and its lifetime is below.
Â

4. Tracking that happens on our systems (server side)
Â
When you book, details of that event may also be sent to Meta from our systems rather than your browser, including hashed contact details used for matching. This helps us measure which ads lead to real bookings. We only send these events if you accepted marketing cookies. If you rejected them, neither the pixel nor our systems send anything to Meta.
Â
Â
5. Embedded content from other companies
Â
Some parts of the site load content from other companies, which may set their own cookies:
Â
- Booking form (Fillout). Loads so the form works. It receives the details you type and the attribution values described in section 6.
- Contact form (HubSpot). Loads so the form works. Its tracking cookies are only set if you accepted marketing cookies.
- Google Maps. Blocked until you accept marketing cookies. Until then you see a placeholder with a button to load it.
- Videos (YouTube). Use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode and load nothing until you press play.
- Google reviews widget. Displays our public Google reviews.
Â
Â
6. Attribution values we store ourselves
Â
To understand which advertising brings people to us, we store a small set of values in your browser’s local storage on your first visit: how you arrived (for example, campaign tags on the link you clicked), the page you landed on, and a random reference number. These values stay in your browser and are only sent to us if you submit the booking form. They contain nothing that identifies you by themselves.
Â
Â
7. Managing cookies in your browser
Â
You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time, for every website. Your browser’s help pages explain how. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of this site working.
Â
Â
8. Changes
Â
We update this page when the cookies we use change, and the date at the top always reflects the current version. Questions: info@autoworksdetailers.com. More about your rights: see our privacy policy.
