1. Who we are

 

Autoworks Detailers is the trading name of Alessio Ardani, a sole trader based at 3 Blackberry Drive, Fair Oak, Eastleigh, SO50 8RB, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

2. What we collect

 

When you book a consultation: your name, email address, phone number, details about your vehicle and its condition, any photos you upload, your service interest, and the answers you give in the form. We also receive technical details attached to your submission, such as how you found us, which are described in our cookie policy.

 

When we speak and when we do the work: consultation notes, your quote, booking and job history, and the communications between us.

 

When you pay: payments are processed by Stripe. We see confirmation of payment and the amounts. We never see or store your card details.

 

When you visit the website: cookies and similar technologies collect analytics and advertising data, only with your consent where required. Our cookie policy explains exactly what runs and when.

 

Photos and video of your vehicle: we photograph and film our work on every vehicle as part of documenting what we do. Where these appear publicly, number plates are obscured. Our terms and conditions explain your right to opt out in writing.

 

CCTV and call recording. CCTV may be in operation at our premises for security, and consultation calls may be recorded for record keeping and training. Where a call is recorded, we tell you at the start. Retention periods are in section 7.

4. Who we share it with

 

We use a small number of service providers to run the business. They process your data on our behalf and cannot use it for their own purposes, except where noted:

 

  • HubSpot (customer records and enquiries; EU data centre)
  • Fillout (the vehicle assessment and booking form; USA)
  • Zapier (moves information between our systems automatically; USA)
  • Postmark (booking and service emails; USA)
  • Stripe (payments; also an independent controller for its own fraud prevention)
  • Google (calendar scheduling, business file storage, and website analytics)
  • Meta (advertising measurement: the Meta pixel on our site and conversion events sent from our systems, including hashed contact details for matching; only where you have accepted marketing cookies)
  • Microsoft Clarity (anonymised session analytics, such as heatmaps; only where you have accepted statistics cookies)
  • Slack (internal notifications about new enquiries, seen only by us)
  • Notion (internal business records)
  • Namecheap / EasyWP (website hosting)

We do not sell your personal information. We share information with authorities only where the law requires it.

 

 

5. International transfers

 

Some providers above are based in the United States. Where personal data leaves the UK, it is protected by the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or by the International Data Transfer Agreement or standard contractual clauses with the UK addendum.

 

 

6. Marketing

 

Marketing emails are optional. You choose at booking with an unticked box, every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately. You can also object at any time by emailing us. Declining marketing never affects your booking or service.

 

 

7. How long we keep your information

8. Security

 

Your information is held in access-controlled cloud systems used only by us. We do not store card details. Keys and vehicles are covered by the physical security described in our terms.

 

 

9. Your rights

 

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, object to our use of it, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw any consent you have given. Email info@autoworksdetailers.com and we will respond within one month, free of charge.

 

 

10. Complaints

 

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, contact us first and we will do our best to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

 

 

11. Children

 

Our services and website are not directed at anyone under 18.

 

 

12. Changes to this policy

 

We update this page when our data practices change, and the date at the top always reflects the current version. Significant changes will be flagged on the site.
