1. Who we are

2. What we collect
When you take the vehicle assessment or book a consultation: your name, email address, phone number, postcode, and details about your vehicle and its condition.
When you contact us: your name, contact details and the content of your message.
When you pay: payments are processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and your billing name — we never see or store your card details.
When you browse this site: with your consent, analytics and advertising cookies collect usage data (see section 6).
3. Why we use it and our lawful bases
We use your information to respond to enquiries, run your consultation, deliver the service you book, take payment, and send booking-related emails (lawful basis: performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request before a contract).
We send service reminders and follow-ups connected to your booking (legitimate interests). We only send marketing where you have opted in, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link (consent).
Analytics and advertising cookies run only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time via the cookie banner settings.
4. Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run the business. They process your data on our behalf and cannot use it for their own purposes: HubSpot (customer records and enquiries), Fillout (vehicle assessment form), Stripe (payments), Postmark (transactional email), Google (calendar scheduling and analytics), Zapier (connecting these systems), Meta (advertising measurement, with consent) and Microsoft Clarity (site usage analysis, with consent).
We never sell your data. Some providers store data outside the UK, including in the United States; where they do, transfers are protected by UK-approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
5. How long we keep it
Enquiry and booking records are kept while you are a customer and for up to 6 years afterwards (the period UK law expects business and tax records to be retained). If you enquire but never book, we delete or anonymise your details within 2 years. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time (see section 7).
6. Cookies and analytics
This site uses a consent banner (you will have seen it on your first visit). Essential cookies run always; analytics (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity) and advertising (Meta Pixel) cookies run only if you accept them. You can change your choice at any time via the cookie settings link in the banner. We do not use analytics data to identify you personally.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, object to our use of it, or provide it to you in a portable format. Email info@autoworksdetailers.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
8. Changes to this policy
